Assassination: Yet another Drug-Crime
Ever wondered where did the word “assassin” come from?
A persian missionary who converted a community in the late XIth century in the heart of the Elburz Mountains of northern Iran called Hassan-i-Sabbah had a secret sect that used to commit “religious” crimes under the influence of the hashish; this sect was called al-hashashin (الحشاشين) which means “cosumers of hashish”; soon, hashashin became “assessino” in Italian and then “assassin” in English.
Assassin can also be - for fun - “as ass (donkey) sin”; one should be a donkey with sins to be an assassin!

but committing religious crusades with the effect of hashish sounds weird. It’s somehow the talibans’ strategy!

Well…in my country is not so usual to find that kind of drug…then i think that we could to change that word…
It could be…. COKAINEATION or CRACKINATION, because the assassinations have been commited not just under the effects of those drugs, as well under the urgent needs to get money to buy them…more and more…

It was not for money; as I told, it’s a secret sect that used to attack Christian merchants and so … It was only for the “cause”.

Some people say that hashashin comes from the sects alleged hashish use. however i am a proponent of believing that that is a smear effort on the sect and their name means “followers of Hassan” as their leader was Hassan-i Sabbah.
