Milo’s dead. And then, …?
Saturday the former Serbian despot Slobodan Milošević was inhumed within an almost official ceremony where many people have participated.
I don’t feel any regret for that criminal, I was not happy neither to learn about his death: He had a cardiac arrest, he suicided, they killed him, for me, it’s the same as if I learned that a rabietic dog were killed. But what attracted my attention was Serbian people who emotionally consider him as a hero. I noticed that they are mostly aged people who used to prosperously live under Tito’s regime and were seduced by Slobodan’s demagogy and propaganda claiming the “Great Serbia” clean of Albaneses and intruded populace, and venerating communism.
Tito has always rejected the idea of Great Serbia and, in spite of being dictator, approved tolerance, “pacific coexistence” and “people’s friendship” . Milo who used Tito as argument, has done what Hitler did: Being “democratically” elected and passing from the left to the extreme right position!
What was Milošević useful for Yugoslavia? I don’t see anything good. He chases unwanted people “cleaning” Kosovo, and probably the next target would be Sanjak of Novy Pazar (extreme north), brought “occident” hostility and caused a terrible war to his country: more than 4000 strikes per day destroying the infrastructure, killing innocent people, hitting Montenegro, bombing even Kosoviar refugees, “wrongly” damaging hospitals, … Let’s not mention Chinese embassy and the 3 killed journalists (Well, China won a lot thanks to this “error”), Iraqi ambassador’s house and so on. A dirty war! Then he unintentionally gave Kosovo to Albaneses and divided Yugoslavia.
Another interesting facts is the French “revolutionaries”:
- Régis Debray the Che’s friend who considered Serbia as a “new Vietnam”, NATO as Yankee’s imperialism and Milo as … Uncle Hô! A 60’s thought: If Che or Hô learned about this, they would fight with US troups!
- Jacques Vergès, aka The Devil’s Advocate. Okay, this guy is already fool since he defended the Gestapo officer Klaus Barbie in 1987, then kept trying to defend other war criminals such as Slobodan, Saddam, etc.
