I believe is dead… I run nvu on OS X and it is slow and some annoying bugs like not connecting to ftp servers without retrying ten times… but I found it very useful anyhow and I stick to it.

Well, regarding templates, you can enhance your libraries; there are thousands of free templates in the Web that you may add to your library.
Yes, the subdirectory support is very poor, I thought it would be improved…
As for DreamWeaver, I won’t install “the” other OS for it .

I can’t seem to get Nvu to import an existing website. It also doesn’t appear to have very good support for subdirectories and keeping all of the internal links pointed to the right place.

Also, the template functionality is pretty limited.

I agree that Dreamweaver is way to slow and resource-intensive, But it does have pretty good template support.
