How do rumors begin

Yesterday I went to the STEG to pay the electricity bill, where aside from the electricity, gas and taxes, you must pay a fee for the Television for the awful programs they show! It was full and there were 2 queues as 2 cashiers were available, but everything was ok, as it was organized; the service was a bit slow, well, we can forgive that: there was a panel where is written that they are sorry because the are alpha testing a new software, never mind.
What made the waiting uncomfortable, was what were saying the people there: “At the first cashier they accept checks … No, I think they do accept cash, you can only pay check at the second … Why don’t they tell us … They should inform people first … Bad service, as usual … Now what shall I do, if after 15 minutes I have to take the other queue … They think people have nothing to do …”
Well, I waited for my turn, then the employee smiled (yes, she did) and said: “Good morning sir”; I asked whether they accept cash or check, she told: “Both!”
For once, I will thank “bureaucrats” for the excellent service they did, as I haven’t lost too much time. However, I started to wonder who was the evil, and how do rumors begin…

    I simply don’t trust!
If I consider myself able to spy on somebody’s confidential data, I might be the next victim ;-)

I’m still discouraged; need to make sure first that it’s a reliable way. It could take some time.
    Thanks anyway for the information.
    Cheers!

typical tunisian behaviour ! at least in your case, it was not that bad, it could have been a rumour like ‘closing down in 5min’ ….

Online payment reliable ? I dunno but “they” may oblige everyone to pay its bills by Internet as they did for students for subscriptions this year.

But it is not for the near future.
