Shawarma in Brno
Amazing! The thing I expected the least in this city was finding my favorite fast food: Shawarma!
I was planning to have a lunch at one of the many Vietnamese restaurants in the main station and around the center of the city, but a Czech friend strongly discouraged me, and told me: ‘”vey” are not “healfy”‘. So I had to forget about it and unexpectedly found that small yet clean restaurant owned by an Iraqi.
When suggested to add some hot chili, he told:
- You Tunisians like the hot pepper
- Indeed
And, interesting, the shawarma was not expensive at all, only 45 Czech crowns (2.700 Tunisian dinars); it’s a pity they don’t sell beer: it would have been funnier!
I do no longer hate snow! Yesterday my “Made in Tunisia” shoes appeared totally unresistant face to snow, so I had to buy new ones whatever the price is. I found nice ones at the supermarket for only 300 CZK (18 TND); decidedly, you would never find such a quality/price in Tunisia, not even in My Lord The Father of the Napkin (Sidi Boumendil — Trap Boy). As for solidity, I think they are, as my socks are still dry!
I thought I did a good deal, till the Czech friend told me:
- “Free” hundred?? “Vey” are expensive!
I think I have to be more familiar with Czech shops to know how to make good business
By the way, many Czech people who speak English and find difficulties to pronounce the “th” substitute that pronunciation with “F” and “V”; the real problem consists of the numbers 13 and 30 as their pronunciation is close to 14 and 40. If it’s about a price, it doesn’t really matter, but it does when it’s about a tram or bus number … One of the reasons for which I must learn Czech language soon.

I have no idea, it’s the first Arabic restaurant I met anyway.
They told that in Prague there are several Lebanese and Egyptian restaurants.

héhé .. nice to hear about ure adventures in Kundera homeland.
I’m thinking about going there .. it seems to be fun.
Your post could be entitled with a sentence heard somewhere somehow : “Life is nice, so take place and enjoy living. Our existence is the result of a so tiny probability event that we got to catch it and appreciate every moment of it. Why do we live ? Do we really have the time to answer such a question. Better : Does this question have an answer ? Or is it juste here to make us think about ourselves and ourlives. Smile, cause just the moment after u will miss that”.
Well just divagations ..
Thanks swobo ..
Work evenings here ..
