I became a caesevore *

If there’s a French specialty I will always remember, it would be wine and cheese. I have never eaten so much varieties of cheese in all my life like I ate in the first week of my staying in Paris: Camembert, Comté, Roquefort, Fourme d’Ambert, Neufchâtel, white cheese, Cantal, Bleu d’Auvergne, goat cheese, … So many flavors, so many origins, recipes are kept along centuries and hide the mystery of these different smells and tastes.
I became addicted to French cheese and can not have a meal anymore without tasting a new type of the hundreds of pearls made in the mountains, caves and prairies, which make the pride of the region that produced it.

* caesevore: From Latin caseus (cheese) and vorare (to devour). All similarity with Julius, Brutus and Augustus Caesar is a pure coincidence.

Oh man, you remind me of the years I spent in Paris, I still smell the nasty roquefort. Here in the US, it is not allowed, they use artificial flavor and the blue is not from the rotten cheese, it is artificial :-( ((
I remember an ad “Du pain , du vin et du Boursin, on est bien!!” :-) ))

Durk: You remind me a famous character
Don’t take it bad, although it’s a bit true :-P

MMM, I am drooling! That sounds so good. A few years ago I was in gruyere, and it was so great to eat this cheese where it came from, and to see the little castle and community that made it famous. As for Ceasar, can we then deduce from his name that he was the “ultimate big cheese?” Just kidding of course! Au fait je devrai repondre en francais, puisque j’en ai si rarement l’occasion.

Hopefully French cheeses still resist to Mc Donalds invasion :-)
“je devrais” ;-) Si vous voulez pratiquer le français, je suis disponible, pas de problème.
