The Final Cut
Science Fiction movies are not my favorite, I watched the young Jordanian director Omar Naim’s movie The Final Cut just because of Robin Williams, whom I knew more than 10 years ago through Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Morning Vietnam. I did not regret watching it and liked the movie for the metaphysic side, showing how human are observed and tracked into the society; nobody has secrets anymore and the “cutter” can know all about any person, then he modifies the movie to show only the good events, despite of being a criminal or a rapist.
My rate: 6/10
Some Quotes:
Alan Hakman: My job is to let people remember what they want to remember, Fletcher. It fulfilled a human need. I didn’t invent the technology.
Delila: These moments… they belong to me, Alan. The good and the bad. They’re mine and his! Who are you to take them away from me?
