Deer Park
I’m actually using Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 aka Deer Park; too much faster than the stable version, but, as Beta, I experienced too many crashes and could not upgrade a huge number of extensions.
Hatem has suggested a little hack to “cheat” and manually upgrade the extensions using winrar; for UNIX users, if you want to recompile files into a new archive, type:
zip newfile.xpi $(find)
I also liked the SVG integration, a feature that already exists on Opera, Not all SVG files work however: some are displayed as XML files, other contain errors (according to the browser), that’s why I have to open them with inkview.
I wrote a more detailed review about this version in LibertySoft (INSAT) website. I don’t regret removing the stable version of Firefox, since 1.5 offers more features aside from being faster.
