Oh yeah

Fever effect? Not that awful after all: it improves creativity!
Well, I just want to apologize to friends who expect me to answer their emails: My eyes […]

Updated Permalink structure

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006

Looking for more Google ranking, I updated my permalink structure and set it to the following for posts:
http://swobodin.fedora-tn.org/archive/999
The feature is included within wordpress, but you can handle it manually using mod_rewrite.
Note that old URL structure (/?p=999) still works.

How do rumors begin

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006

Yesterday I went to the STEG to pay the electricity bill, where aside from the electricity, gas and taxes, you must pay a fee for the Television for the awful programs they show! It was full and there were 2 queues as 2 cashiers were available, but everything was ok, as it was organized; […]

Happy Birthday to … me

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

It has been one year that I created a community portal, followed by a blog. I had not an idea about what to call the portal, I wanted to publish my ideas, articles, experiences, source codes, … besides, wanted to try new Web technologies. As I had to choose a name, and was (and […]

I’m getting older!

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

What a nightmare, my hair is making me look 20 years older!
It started to fall when I was 17, today I’m practically bald. Okay, I have no problem with this, some people even call me “the bald” and I don’t find it offensive at all.
The surprise was today, some friends noticed that I have […]

My blog traffic: analysis

Monday, August 21st, 2006

It’s time to review my blog activity, to figure out the bad points and to enhance the good ones.
Almost 9000 “human” visits so far in August, more than 80% of visitors come from Google, they often make wrong keywords, but sometimes find exactly what they are looking for, according to keywords.
The average of visit […]

Changing one’s life

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

It may happen that after a long waiting time, you receive an offer that might change your life.
Thanks Chunski for everything, I’m ready to flip everything over!
To be continued …

Sea, Sun, Jazz and Fun: The Craziest Tunisian Bloggers meetup, ever!

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Last Saturday we organized a little trip to Tabarka. We started by a lunch, then a swim in a rocky beach where we had to make an escalation to access to the sea; ex-blonde got revolted (again) against Gattuso’s idea; while most of people chose to swim, Di5M4L, Sangoura, ex-blonde and me preferred […]

Switching keyboard

Sunday, July 9th, 2006

Like almost all the Tunisians, I learned typing on an AZERTY French keyboard. Two months ago I got a U.S QWERTY with Arabic letters and decided to switch to it for:

It’s standard
Characters used for programming are easier to access: [{\| …

Well, regarding special characters, I have hacked on configuration files so that I can […]

MSN users: You are not welcome!!

Monday, June 5th, 2006

Yes, the title is segregative and agressive, I keep my position though.
Analyzing May’s statistics, I realized that  3426 visitors came using search engines, of which 3260 from Google and 120 from MSN. Those MSN users who come to my site and generally use Internet Explorer really make me shit, and, unlike Google visitors, rarely look […]

Looking for a job

Monday, May 29th, 2006

Everything is getting hopeless and it seems that there’s no ready solution to flip over and change the situation.
When I have chosen freelance some time ago, I thought that it would give me more independence and more money. This is true, except that it’s not the right place for it.
Sometimes, I wonder whether the […]

Soccer and me

Monday, May 29th, 2006

Few weeks left before the beginning of the World Cup, and, as may a reader notice, I give absolutely no importance to soccer. I don’t know who will participate, which team will play against which other, etc. The only thing I know is that it will start in Germany in June.
However, (I speak about […]

I want to laugh

Friday, May 26th, 2006

Unlike what might mean the title, I am not looking for a jester, I often smile and laugh whenever it’s possible after all.
I was looking for funny pictures to share them with friends, but I got the Internet White Screen of Death again! Means that the sites are blocked here…
There’s something I still can’t […]

Moi, je boycotte le bus jaune

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006
