To express, or not to express

Monday, October 31st, 2005

Yesterday, I went to the movie theater Le Mondial in Tunis to see the Raouf Ben Yaghlane’s one man show Nâabar walla ma nâabarshi (Shall I express or not).
I don’t generally talk about my daily activities, but the play was such amazing! It deals with Freedom of Speech, some of taboos (yes, just some) […]

Skyping around

Friday, October 28th, 2005

Not using Windoze does not prevent me from using some non Free Softwares sometimes, as long as they are good, useful, and GNU/Linux compatible.
Skype is one of the those programs, for it’s reliable, secure and has many features, besides, it doesn’t use some strange ports, only 80 and 443. However, I could not run […]

Paradoxal thinking

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

Talking much about oneself can also be a means to conceal oneself.
Friedrich Nietzsche

I am looking for a honest man.
Diogenes the Cynic

The horizon of many people is a circle with a radius of zero. They call
this their point of view.

You see things; and you say “Why?”
But I dream things that never were; and I […]

Hurricane Carter 2 - Lyrics

Monday, October 24th, 2005

As I have mentioned in a previous post, Bob Dylan’s song “Hurricane” perfectly describes the implication of Rubin “Hurricane” Carter in a crime where he has nothing to do, exactly like in the movie, which is, unfortunately, what really happened!
The song, very ironic, claims Rubin Carter’s innocence, but also denounces corruption and people who […]

Quote of the day

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Hurricane Carter

Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

The best Denzel Washington’s movie is incontestably “The Hurricane“.
The movie is about the true story of Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, an African-American boxer who spent the half of his life in prison, due to injustice and racism, committed by a corrupt sargeant, Della Pesca Paterson.
The movie well describes the sufference of Rubin Carter, and how […]

Palindromas

Friday, October 21st, 2005

damas, oid a Dios, amad
Ana lleva nenes al abad, al reconocerla, dábala Senén avellana
somos laicos, Adán, nada social somos

EditCSS can fix this, but only for you: after installing the Firefox extension, right click anywhere in the page, and tick “Edit CSS” option; it will open a side bar with […]
